I will soon post a picture of a frozen egg from the hen house. I never even knew that could happen. Visits to the farm will resume on March 20th. Zoo Crew presentations at offsite locations are available year round- but right now, we have the barn opened up for the animals to stay warm and closed to parties:)

The farm will be open for appointments through December 19th.

For the winter we can bring our educational Zoo Crew program to your location. This program has been said to be better than Zooniversity and Critterman at a much more affordable price. We are able to design our program to teach all ages.

scouts, PTA/PTO, daycares, preschools, private schools, grade level presentations.

We love working with children and adults with special needs.

Visit us at the farm on December 6 from 1-3.
Reservations are required. The fee is $5.00 per person over 18 months old (adults do need to pay)

The farm is normally only open for groups and birthday parties. This is your chance to visit with your family.

We are looking forward to a great fall season at the farm. Weekday visits for playgroups, mom's clubs and homeschool groups in Mckinney, Allen, Frisco are a great idea.
If you would like, we can also bring our small caged animals to your school, preschool, scout troop, PTO/PTA, church and other offsite location.

Birthday dates at the farm are going quickly. As of this post, we have one slot from 10-12 on October 25 open. All of November is booked. The two days available in December are the 13th and 20th.

I have not posted in soooo long.
The farm and petting zoo business is going wonderfully! I can not beleive that I have not posted in such a long time.
Our newsest addition in the last post are now much bigger. Our most recent addition to our petting zoo here in McKinney is our cow. He is a big hit.
The farm will be closed until March due to winter weather conditions.
Our small animal petting zoo will be available throughout the winter to come to your location for indoor parties and events.

The Zoo Crew of Grisham Farms Petting Zoo is gearing up for a busy new year.
We are looking forward to several visits to preschools and private schools this month.
We are even doing a birthday party at a school. What an awesome idea this mother had. She got permission from the school to have me do a 45 minute presentation in her son's class as a birthday gift to him.
Thanks to this wonderful mother, to our list of services we can now add classroom presentations as a gift from parents. What a great gift for a teacher and her students.

Saturday, October 28th from 3:00- 5:30.
This is your chance to bring your family and friends to the farm, learn about all of our animals and pet and feed many of them.
Feel free to come in simple costumes- don't wear anything that the goats might find yummy or that will get messed up on the playground.
The fee to visit the farm will be $5.00 per person over 17 months. With a $20.00 maximum per family.

He is so much happier without all of his wool. We saved his wool so that when you come out to the farm, you can have a piece and learn about how it can be made into yarn.

We are gearing up to take the animals all over Collin County this summer. If you would like us to visit your child care center, give us a call. We would love to come teach your children about our caged exotic animals. We bring out lizards, snakes, chinchillas, rats, ferrets, turtles and much more!

This is Tex, our miniature horse. He is almost 20 years old. He loves to let the children that visit lead him around the pasture. He is very well behaved and a gentle soul!

George, one of the pot belly pigs, got out of the round pen today to play with the other animals. (this is not much of a problem, except that he dumps all of the water buckets over)
To get him back into his pen, we used an orange popsicle to lead the way. He loves those things!

Franklin- a usual name for a most unusual turtle

Franklin is our box turtle. He is a most friendly turtle. When you pick him up he just looks at you as if he has all the time in the world to look at people. He was donated to us by a family in Katy, Texas.

Peanut is our resident sheep. He acts more like a dog than a sheep. He comes up to you when he sees you and loves for you to pet him.
